Do you feel like you are living life on a treadmill constantly moving but getting nowhere?
You feel stuck in one place! Many articles you can find about how to overcome depression but most fail to discuss when you are living life and not getting anywhere. You are stuck in a downward spiral and life is difficult. Being happy is a part of your progression in life. You’ve been unhappy for so long and something has to change for you.
When you are depressed nothing satisfies you. Complaining has become a daily habit. People irritate you. As a result, you have difficulty working with others and you’re lonely because you don’t feel like being around other people.
Are you constantly bringing negative people into your life? Do you feel like chaos is always around you? Choose to be a source of light for others even in your darkest moments. Hold on for things are going to change and when they do you can make it change for the better.
Depression is not a disease you can’t control. You can beat it with the everyday thoughts you choose to believe. The things you have in your life are because you accept it. It’s a hard task to face that the chaos you control it but it’s true. If you stop allowing it then it will change.
You might have reasons why you accept it that are legitimate but that doesn’t make up for the fact it is hindering your forward progress in life. It takes determination to overcome the hindrances and receive your joy.
Are you truly willing to put in the work and make the necessary changes to progress in your life? Be honest with yourself because this is a vital step for you to get better. Our mood affects what we accept into our lives.
Our self perceptions justify the way we choose to live. If you think you’re worthless then you will accept people who disrespect you into your life. Your mood is the way you feel about yourself, environment, and the world. It is a feeling you have resulting from your thoughts.
Your feelings are a powerful force of encouragement or discouragement. For instance, someone who is feeling sad does not want to run on the treadmill for exercise. So the way they are feeling has deterred their progress to lose weight. This is one out of many examples of how feelings affect your progress in life.
Are your feelings currently holding you back from pursuing happiness? What feelings stop you from doing the things you want to in life?
Some of your feelings are societal norms to keep you from violating the standards set in society. If broken you are severely depressed and needing medical help immediately. For example, you wouldn’t go outside butt naked because you feel like wanting to be free.
There are limits to how we express and develop our feelings. This doesn’t mean you can’t fully express yourself.
How you feel determines how far you get in life. Don’t let the wrong feelings such as anger and depression rule your life. Reflect on your thoughts.
